Cupcake Boy

Riley's latest obsession is cupcakes.
He wants me to make them every time they are all gone. With my family it doesn't take long for a batch to run out, but seriously how many days in a row can you really eat cupcakes.
Well Riley says "forever days"!

Today when Riley was getting ready for school I promised him I would make more cupcakes while he was gone. I made them but I didn't frost them right away. I usually frost and he adds sprinkles so I was waiting til he got home.

Shortly after Riley came home from school he wanted to frost his cupcakes but I was on the phone with Aunt Krystin. Whenever I get on the phone with Aunt Krystin it usually means I will not be available for at least an hour (usually 2 hours:)

Riley kept asking me to frost his cupcakes and I kept saying in a minute. Eventually, he stopped asking and after a bit I realized why he stopped....

As you can see Riley gave up on me and took it upon himself to frost his cupcakes....and I must say they tasted better than usual!

Easter 2009

What a difficult and wonderful day all combined.

Today was one of those days that was just beautiful; the sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky, but it was quite cold out. Lucky for us the Easter Bunny hid our eggs inside; that was a nice relief for us grown ups :)

The Easter Bunny was very clever and helpful; he gave everyone travel & card games...perfect for a long plane ride and he gave Disney World gift cards too- which were the biggest hit with Zack, Hayley & Connor!
Riley was most excited with his new rubber boots, he wore them all day and of course they were just what he always wanted !!!

Gram Z, Uncle Ray & Uncle Norb came over for dinner and some games. Any holiday is so much more enjoyable when spent with family, but it is was also a reminder of our parents who we will never spend another holiday with again. You are missed and loved Grandma Ellen & Grandpa Ron.

God Bless and enjoy some pictures:

This morning when we woke up I saw hair on Riley's shoulder...I figured he had gotten ahold of Tiger (our kitty) and when I went to brush the hair off I realized he had cut his own hair.
Not just a little cut but right down to the scalp...we are lucky he didn't cut his head.

After further inspection I saw the back of his hair which was also cut...UGH
